Wow. It's been a really long time
How sad is it that I just spent the past 3 hours looking back over my entire blog and comments? Hah! Well, to update you all:
I graduated with a degree in technical theatre (specialization in scenic painting and design). I have had no luck as of yet getting a job in the field, the call I got the other day turned out to be less of a job offer (which it definitely sounded like) and more of a "we have an open position and you're kind of being considered." Then they were supposed to call me back the next day and didn't, so I called them and they said they'd hired someone else. Nice!
I make and sell things on Etsy. Check it out! CheekyJakalope.etsy.com
I will also have another shop up with paintings, photography and other wall art available soonish. I just need to figure out the sizing on everything. In the mean time, feel free to check out my online portfolio at Laurahahn.yolasite.com. There you will find what I've been up to the past 5 years at school!
I am in a relationship with an incredible person who supports me in everything I do. I miss him terribly, as we both had to move back in with our parents after graduation to save money. After having lived together for the last (almost) year, it really sucks to have to live apart. It just doesn't seem right!
I might morph this into a 'style' blog of sorts. As in, posting pics of my outfits. Hah! Lame of me, I know. But I like playing dress up, and I'd like to document my cuter outfits so I remember them. And why not share them with others so they might get inspiration from them as well? I can definitely say there won't be much 'fashion' talk, as in high fashion or runway fashion or what's hitting the stores. Cause I just don't care that much. Never bothered with labels and such, don't care if it's high end, low end, Goodwill or Macy's. I get what I like, regardless of where it's from (not expensive is the general rule, though).
That's about all I've got to update! Hope your lives have all led to interesting adventures and wonderful memories!
More to come,
Laura
